Loved your answers - it's hard to balance the whole birthday thing - two of my kids have December birthdays, one at the beginning and one at the end, and the one at the end always has family there for it because it is right after Christmas - and thus the birthday equality guilt sets in... never easy. but as my hubs and I say, we've got to give them SOMETHING to talk about in therapy later, right? ;-) Good luck!Sallyhttp://www.fivehenrys.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3437683333289458243.post-19059384198205939482011-11-03T00:41:01.649+00:002011-11-03T00:41:01.649+00:00When you mentioned your kids didn't have costu...When you mentioned your kids didn't have costumes for the last "round" of trick or treating, it reminded me of that Target commercial where the boy doesn't have a costume, and he uses his sweatshirt to create some on the spot. I wish I hadn't had guilt over the birthday party thing when my boys were being raised. Why didn't someone tell me that I could have picked certain years to have the big ones and enjoy the rest with smaller family gatherings? Live and learn, I say. My daughter's-in-law have shown me that it is perfectly fine to pick and choose. Who knew?Expats Againhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17179740220723589771noreply@blogger.com
